According to figures released on Ash Wednesday, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cologne revealed it is worth 3.35 billion euros. This makes it richer than the Vatican, which Cardinal George Pell said has assets of 2.64 billion euros.

The Cologne cathedral is listed as worth 27 euros. Find out why here.
