Archdiocese building to be named after Pope

The Archdiocese of Vancouver announced that its main office at 150 Robson St. will be renamed in honour of Pope John Paul II's May 1 beatification.

The commemoration will take place April 29, where Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB, will lead archdiocesan staff and various dignitaries in celebrating the newly christened John Paul II Pastoral Centre.

Archbishop Miller will also celebrate the beatification of Pope John Paul with a special Mass May 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Cathedral, at 646 Richards St. downtown Vancouver.
